Rare collapsible hoop crinoline skirt by Mary Clayton's Belle O'The Ball. The revolutionary design allowed women to wear the large ball skirt styles of the time with the convenience of being able to compress the frame into just 8" when not in use- perfect for travel. Two clear plastic hoops with metal fasteners are strung onto cotton webbing straps, and the position of the upper hoop can be raised or lowered to your preference. Straps can be shortened to raise overall length of the hoops. Each hoop has an adjustable leather fastener to secure the selected hoop circumference. Cotton webbing waistband with four snaps for a secure fit, but can be adjusted. Makes the perfect crinoline for a ball-skirted wedding dress.
